Directions, directions, directions
Oy vey.
It’s 11:30 PM and I’m getting ready for bed. I would normally post my progress here, but most of what I did today has to be undone. You see, I followed the directions for my main sweater by picking up 49 stitches on each shoulder saddle (I finished both shoulder saddles today) and resuming 28 stitches from the collar. Then I did the first row of the front in seven columns: double seed stitch, wind blow cable, honeycomb stitch, saxon braid, honeycomb, cable, seed.
As I got to the end of the final seed stitch section, I realized my stitch count was off. I went back a couple times and realized that my error was in the initial pick-up of 49 stitches. 49 was the value if you’re making a small sweater. I’m making a medium sweater, which requires picking up 51 stitches.
Grrr. I’m going to finish watching Die Hard III now and resume the sweater project tomorrow morning.

you’re a knitting fiend. For some reason there doesn’t seem to be any other kind of knitter. You’d love my friends up here.
