Ropes Course
Here’s what I did today:

A little dark, I know, but it was a very hazy day.
Eight of us, courtesy of the lovely Kelly, went to a ropes course today and attempted various feats of high elevation acrobatics. And by “acrobatics”, I mean “standing up”. It’s amazing how your brain shuts down when you’re too scared to pee.
Okay, almost too scared to pee.

How can I read these other comments and not join in?
Goodness mercy me, David, you’re soooooo brave!
I guess all those Wheaties served you well.
Just kidding.

Dude! You are standing on top of a very tall pole! [That was my insightful initial observation until the shock wore off.]
How do you get back down?

Yes, that’s me. What you don’t see in the picture is that there’s a trapeze about a meter in front of me. The point is to jump and grab it, then let go. There’s a rope attached to my harness that was being anchored by my friends on the ground, and they lowered me.
I say DAMN what a rush!

Ok. This didn’t freak me out until I looked more closely and saw the tiny, tiny pole you’re standing on. Holy crap! What were you thinking?
And wow, that looks like so much fun!!
