Breathe Fiber

So there we were, Flea and Yvette and I, sitting at the edge of the runway for the Fiber Artists Art to Wear Fashion Show, watching the lovely models go by in amazing handmade silk, cotton and wool. And window screen. (That one was cool.) All three of us had projects on our laps. And Yvette was dressed to kill in an outfit she mostly made herself.

I got the back started on the Aran and I’m almost through the first repeat of the saxon braid (16 rows). I also started up a kufi yesterday, the first of many that will pay for my iPod.

I’m starting to enjoy working on the Aran again. It’s like breathing. It takes energy but no effort.

sounds like you are in a wonderful space. i’m probably going to have a not-much-knitting week. i want to finish the hatband; other than that i feel kind of punked-out and am, i noticed, growing some hulk-like muscles in my forearms… that needs to cease.

did you get anything in the mail from me yet?

Seriously, wearing nothing but stuff you made yourself? That is waaaay too cool. Jeez, here I thought I was flying along for thinking about a lace pattern for a skirt…

Yep, I suck. And what’s with no pictures?
