Eureka!
My next project after the Aran is going to be a tunic vest whose pattern I am still trying to formulate. I just discovered the exact collar I was looking for, courtesy of Elizabeth Zimmermann’s Knitting Around.
I went and checked out the book from our library a minute ago during a fire alarm after seeing a reference to it on Lisa’s blog. (Thanks, Lisa.) Within this book’s pages are the plans for a Bog Sweater, which is an ingenious garment that can be constructed out of a square of cloth without wasting anything. The knit version has a lovely raised collar which is exactly what I have had in mind for my vest. Sweet.

If dogged, I would slog through the frogged blog bog.

Hope you are not dogged by the frogged blog bog.

Thanks, Christopher. I’m getting into the rhythm of it; hopefully my speed will pick up a little bit.

Neat-looking aran you’ve got going on there. They do take a bit of time, don’t they? Keep up the good work.

Yes, but I’m only going to use the collar.
Heh. Bog Blog. Hopefully I can do it without having to make any corrections, because then I’d have a frogged blog bog!
Thankyouverymuch.

A blog bog? I saw the one designed by Elizabeth Zimmermann – is this the one you are going to make?
