Amazing what you can do with three and a half balls of Sirdar Denim Ultra Chunky and three days.

This one’s for my sister. A little late for x-mas, but I’m sure she’ll understand.

Very nice vest!
I wanted to tell you that I made a kufi that was heavily based on your kufi recipe for a friend for Christmas. He had all sorts of requirements, so I couldn’t follow the recipe completely.
He hates handknit items because of the “holes” which I think he means when the knit is too loose, but just to be sure, I substituted your YO pattern for a couple of bands of seed stitch.
Also, it had to be machine washable and dryable, and we live in Buffalo, so I did it in Paton’s Canadiana- which is a surprisingly nice quality acrylic.
Anywhoi, it turned out beautifully, the first handknit item he will wear. Kudos to you, and I’ll try and send a pic when I get one!

Just noticed your email address. Probably should have sent a message instead. Oops.

Looks beautiful. I love that pattern, too. That is some seriously chunky yarn. Where’s the pattern from?
Oh, and everybody I knitted kufis for for Christmas shouts out a big thank-you!
