A bit more progres

It may not be obvious because of the perspective here, but I have added a little more length on my beloved Aran:

Almost done. This weekend I took the last of the three huge skeins of yarn that my Mom got me over a year ago and wound it into three balls to complete this puppy. This yarn is just so warm and comforting to work with, I think I’m going to take a trip to Ireland and see if I can’t find more. (I’m not even kidding. My mom turned me on to a great website that provides really cheap tours in Ireland.)

I spent Friday and Saturday up in Hunt at my mom’s place. I knit and made some lentil soup, and we all had a nice relaxing time. I went canoeing at one point and today I am s-o-r-e in my upper body. I’m a big wuss in the biceps these days. BIG WUSS!

Had some unexpected excitement on Saturday morning when Ms. Morgan (did I mention I brought the dogs up?) managed to corner herself a fawn in one section of the property and proceeded to try and take it down. She was having this weird canine fantasy where she was Buck from The Call Of The Wild or something. Luckily, she’s a pretty light dog for a Golden Retriever, and it was possible to remove her from the poor deer’s vicinity before any permanent harm was done.

Damn dog.

So what is the website for trips to Ireland?

  2. David Says:

    Chris,
You would ask me that. It’s on my work e-mail, which is already downloaded to my workstation, so I can’t get it from here.
    I’ll post it tomorrow.

Heh - funny how when Goldens encounter something like a deer or a squirrel they think they’re 6 feet tall, but when they jump in your lap, they think they’re still puppy sized, LOL…such cool dogs… :-)
