Countering Inertia

I’ve been slowly running down over the last couple of weeks. Maybe it’s Winter getting to me. I haven’t been exercising properly and I haven’t touched my knitting in a week. I also barely practiced my violin since my last lesson.

Okay, enough of that. This morning I got up, put some coffee on, ironed one of my nice shirts, and practiced the first measure of this beautiful Russian lullaby that my teacher gave me to work on last night. It’s really pretty. It would be a nice addition to my repertoire.

And I found a project that I think I’d like to do if I’ve got any wool left over when I’m done with the Aran, courtesy of the Girl from Auntie: the
Celtic cap

Don’t be hard on yourself about not knitting and not practicing the violin. I think we all need breaks from things to realize how much we appreciate them!

Sorry you are in a funk. I have been there this winter myself. You’ll get back to the things you dig. When I pick my knitting back up after a hiatus I always seem to remember it is something I did to dispell the ick. I think that is why I have so many peojects on needles.

Great Celti-cap. I sure it will look fabulous on you noggin with the aran.

I too am just sick of winter. It’s high time that there was enough daylight to go for a bike ride after work. Let’s make a decree!

‘Course, when that fails, you could climb on your rollers and I could stop bitching and ride on Saturday.
