Welcome, yet unlooked for

I was knitting at the Yarn Barn this morning, working on the fertility candleflame shawl. I brought along the sack with the second hank of yarn in it because the ball I’m working off of was getting thin. When I was pretty close to exhausting it, I put the hank on a swift and wound it into one big ball.

When I took the hank out of the bag, two pieces of paper that I had not known were there fell out. One was the receipt: each hank was $28. (Yowch.) But the other one was the business card of the lady I bought the yarn from! I was so excited when I realized that I can get ahold of her to order more of this wonderful stuff down the road.

Her name is Janet Heppler, and her business is Nebo Rock Textiles. According to the card, she provides “Hand Spun — Hand Woven Wares — Garments — Rugs — Scarves — Yarns”.

If anyone wants some of this yarn, shoot me an e-mail and I’ll send you her contact info.
