Almost . . . there . . .

Sweet merciful mother of muppets, is it done yet?

Almost. I think it’s pretty much shawl sized now. I may add one more set of repeats on each side, then I’m going to wash it in some Eucalan that Caroline gave me, block that sucker out and give it to grandma on the 4th of July.

‘Cause nothing says happy Independance Day like . . . a shawl. Yeah.

I feel some energy building up slowly inside me. Like I’ve got a couple of projects inside me that want to force their way out. Either that or I’m having a bad reaction to the oatmeal I made for breakfast. We’ll see what the coming weeks bring.

Hey David! What did Grandma think of her beautiful shawl and her talented grandson? Spill! It’s the 6th already :-)

Oh, I don’t know, it could be a huge pair of panties still. Does that make it granny panties? *groan* sorry..couldn’t resist. :) Looks beautiful!

I think that’s yarny goodness trying to burst out. Oatmeal never hurt anyone. Never.

Looking forward to seeing the blocked shawl. It doesn’t even remotely resemble panties anymore.

I have a horrible image of hats and sweaters bursting out of your chest like that baby monster in ‘Aliens’. If you think that’s going to happen, please be sure to get pictures.

WOW..I am impressed. I just found your blog and the fact that you knit this shawl up! It looks great. I hope that your Grandmother appreciated it! I knit mine up of a light to medium grey that I had processed the fleece myself. It was a Lincoln X and had washed, carded and spun the yarn. I won first place at the OK State Fair in 2004.
