Sweater Project

Two new projects underway: a Holey Moley poncho for my friend Annalie and a felted hat for Kelly.

I just finished the test swatch for the hat. It’s 8 ½” wide and 7″ high. I’m going to go grab a zippered pillow case to throw it in for the felting and then see how much shrinkage I get. I’m using my perennial favorite, Lamb’s Pride Worsted for the hat. I have two skeins of nice deep plum and one skein that’s more of a purply-wine color for the band.

For the Holey Moley poncho, I have just received six skeins of Classic Elite Attitude. 85% pima cotton, 15% silk. It’s lime green and soft as a bug’s nose. I’m going to cast on with it while I’m shopping for the pillow case. It’s definitely knit time in my corner of the universe.
