More “smart” yarn
Looks like scientists are still working on making usable fibers out of carbon nanotubes: Nanoyarn.
The only problem is, I get the impression that this stuff is probably only lace-weight (or finer) at the moment. So, you can make yourself a conductive, bulletproof shawl. Or some really strong socks.

Yeh, I’m guessing that when I’m a grandma I’ll need to bulletproof myself (hmmm. . .) . . .I suddenly got a vision of COPS, but with crime-fighting grannies. . .:-)
