Props to the Scots
If you’re shopping for music online, may I suggest Music Scotland? I found their site right after Martyn Bennett passed away. I went on a cd-buying binge, trying to get a copy of all of his works that I didn’t yet own. Apparently a few of his albums are out of print now, but I managed to track down a copy of Hardland at Music Scotland.
Unfortunately, it seems that about every other Bennett fan had the same idea as me, and their supply of the album was quickly exhausted. On Monday, I got an e-mail from Mr. MacLeod, their mail order manager, explaining that they’ve been trying to track down other copies without success, and that if they didn’t find any by today, they’d refund my money. And promptly this morning I got word that they’d done so.
Excellent customer service. They’ve also got free worldwide shipping. And if you go to their site, they’ve got mp3 clips of a few tracks from each album for you to sample.
