Quick political rant

I just read an article over at the BBC regarding political reactions to Terri Schiavo’s death.

Tom DeLay, the leader of the House of Representatives, is quoted as saying that the US courts which consistently sided with Mrs. Schiavo’s husband are “out of control”.

Hey Representative DeLay, NO SHIT. That’s the whole point. Did they teach you about checks and balances when you went to elementary school? The judiciary is not beholden to the legislative or executive branches. You’re not their boss, you arrogant jingo.

Good grief.

    I’m right there with you. That’s a real mouthful from Tom “Soft Money” DeLay. Thank God for the Judicial Branch - it may be the only thing keeping the neo-con whackjobs in check.
