Dishes best served cold
Revenge, like chocolate mint brownies, is a dish best served cold.
It is very, very cold in a cube farm.
But in the end of forewent (is that a word?) the revenge thingy and just made some non-bowel assaulting brownies. And they were goooood. It’s always nice when you take a pan full of baked goods to work and return with the pan empty.
I think my head has been clearing up a lot lately. I manged to roll out some fairly complicated (for me, anyway) code yesterday and it didn’t appear to break anything. It’s been one of my more productive weeks. I’m feeling good about things in general.
It helped that the Humane Society and the local Greyhound Rescue folks were at our place of work today. The Humane Society played the puppy card and had a pair of little fat-bellied fuzzy mutts who kept pouncing and chewing each other’s ears. But my heart went out to Zorro, a sleek greyhound who looked up at me and said “Um, ’scuse me, I think you got something in your beard *lick* *lick* *lick* *lick* okay you’re good.” I have got to get a house so I can get a couple of dogs of my own.
I also need to work on the sleep thing. I’ve been awake now for twenty hours and I don’t do well without sleep.

*pout* My greyhound doesn’t clean beards… just plates. They do all have that “love me? please?” look, don’t they? I hope you get one eventually. They’re fantastic animals.

If I get a dog, I’m definitely getting two. I wouldn’t want my pet to be all alone when I’m at work. And they will either be rescues or Humane Society critters.

You are so lucky that puppies come to your work. Marcel and I want a greyhound too. Marcel likes to put his tongue up people’s noses. Believe it, its true.
