Oh Frabjous Joy!
I have found my coffee cup!
It’s a tallish stoneware cup that was thrown by Ryan McCurlyMcKerley (thanks, Eris), my ceramics teacher from years ago. It’s got a dark bluish metallic glaze on it. I lost it right after we moved to our new offices back in December. I haven’t seen it since late December/early January. And just now, after leaving a 2-hour meeting in the large conference room, I spied it sitting next to the television set. My cup! We are reunited!

i live in austin & have several ryan mckerley pieces. he’s a great artist & a nice guy. i’m pleased that you found your cup.

The only real surprise is that it didn’t form a commune with the other lost cups and take over the office. My favorite is soaking its pretty porcelain fingers in Dawn right now, after I rediscovered it UNDER THE DESK (?!) with a half-inch of mold.
