Suspiciously Familiar
If this looks awfully familiar, there’s a good reason for it. Behold the beginning of yet another sock.
Once more, with feeling. I never received the package with the last pair of socks that I attempted, so I can only assume that someone stole the package when they broke into the mail boxes at my apartments. But I’ve got more than enough Duet in this hank to get a pair done, so here we go again. I’m going to try and finish this pair before the before the 10th as training for the Knitting Olympics.
Last night I stopped by a Sunday evening stitch ‘n bitch at the Candlelight Coffee House and saw my old friend Yvette and some other knitters – and met Jana from S.A. in the flesh. (Hi guys!) If I’m going to be serious about a knitting binge for the Olympics, I’m going to need to start hanging out at these things more often.

So sorry you’re having to start over! …but, a lovely beginning nevertheless.
Shame on that sock thief.

I’ll bet the thief was pretty surprised to open the package and find partially finished hand-knit socks!

Sorry to hear about your loss. Missing you at the Sat. knitting group at the YB! I am on the second sock of my second pair of socks! I cannot believe how addictive these things are. I love the mindless ( AKA stress-relieving) knitting that gives me some awesomely (is that a word?) comfortable socks. You will experience this soon.

Ooh, I totally feel your pain with the yarn loss. Once I left my suitcase in a taxi (long story here) and no one returned it. Inside were 2 skeins of Noro and my copy of Stitch ‘N’ Bitch. Ouch. Luckily I was carrying the actual project in my purse!
Anyway, the cuff looks good!
Happy sock knitting!!

Man, that bites that you did not get you sock back. And I am sure it is sitting in a dumpster somewhere after the theif’s extreme disappointment. Bastard. The new sock looks fab.
