Preparing for the Epic Journey

So, the Greencards are playing out at Gruene Hall tonight.

I’m taking my scooter.

If I never post again, I’m probably on the side of the road somewhere between San Antonio and New Braunfels.

Update
My legs and fingers are numb and I very nearly got creamed by some idiot in an SUV, but I am home and safe. The concert was great. Updates when I can feel my extremities.

I will make offerings to the scooter goddess for your safe journey. If SA were a bit more biker friendly (with or without motor) I might have to consider getting one. :)

The absolute best concert I ever attended was Robert Earl Keen at Gruene Hall. Athough Robert Earl is lots of fun, what made this one so good was the ambience - a tiny hall absolutely packed with fans. Everyone stood on the picnic tables benches all night. Of course, it was mid-July, so there was as much sweat as there was beer, but that just made it more fun!

Glad to hear you made it back safe and sound. I hope you will continue to join us at Candlelight…I hope we didn’t scare you away :-)
