Coming soon: the Cabanakilt

Memorial Day Weekend. Sun, water, children, grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, beer, sodas, dogs, croquet mallets, brownies and cake.

I was so exhausted when I got home. I checked e-mail, read some news, stared blankly at the computer screen for what seemed like a minute but turned out to be an hour, and then collapsed into bed. I got lots of sun and was in the company of my brother and sister for the first time in years. My brother’s friend Kyle showed up with his wife and two kids, so the total number of nephewim was five. Very hard to keep track of.

At one point in the afternoon yesterday, my mom, my sister, sister-in-law and our dear friend Robin were all sitting on the dam and I offered to refresh their drinks. The order was: three bourbon and 7s, one bourbon and water, and a beer for Mondo who was fishing at the end of the dam.

No problem. I was wearing the Survival kilt.

I put the bottle of bourbon in my left internal pocket, a can of 7UP and a bottle of water in the right cargo pocket, and one beer in each external cargo pocket. I grabbed four cups of ice and went to serve drinks.

We decided that as cool as that setup was, the well-stocked CabanaKilt really should include some neoprene pockets for holding ice and it should be in a Hawaiian print. Robin insists she’s going to make a prototype.

Who knew one article of clothing could be so useful. You’ll have to send the story in to Utilikilts – they’ll love another testimonial.

There were so many Utilikilts at International Mr. Leather.
Also, I got a pile of Utilikilt logo stickers, if you want some. Now I got one on my bike helmet.

I really want to see a picture of the Cabana Kilt! I must get one for my pool boy…. (LOL, bad joke) I think I have a “thing” for kilts.
