Rounding the first corner

Or rather, turning the first heel.
Or rather, I already turned the first heel and I’ve started working on the leg of the first of the Mark II Kilt Hose. I think I may actually have this pair completed before Sock Wars kicks off.
Most of my “knitting time” the last few days has been spent looking at the pattern and figuring out how to adapt the stitch counts to match the slightly-larger version I’m knitting to accomodate my feet.

I am curious what kind of heel you are doing?

Having that project done before Sock Wars begins will put you a step ahead of me. I have to finish a stole for a wedding — I fear my death will be imminent!

I have a scarf that needs to be done before Friday and I’m only half finished- but then again I knit for the danger and excitement.

I can’t wait to see how your socks turn out

Hi – Can’t wait to see the kilt hose! Hey, is the graph generator still working? I still think that is a brilliant piece of coding. Also, if you get a sec, what’s the difference between it’s c4b and t4b?

I’m excited that you’re getting your first pair of wearable kilt hose cranked out. I know I always feel good when a project is rolling along (which none of my gagillion really are at this point, probably because there’s a gagillion of them….).

I’m not even going to mention the big feet thing, I swear!

    GO! GO! GO! Wooooo!
Kilt hose, kilt hose, Rah! Rah! Rah!

*puts away cute little cheerleader outfit, sticks pompoms in hair*

You know what they say about men with big feet?
    -big socks.

    Hi,
I’m an assistant editor at Lark Books, and we are publishing a book on knitting. I’ve been browsing your site, and would love for you to submit a project for consideration. Could you contact me at squinn@larkbooks.com at your earliest convenience, and I’ll fill you in on the details. Thanks! Shannon

I told Marnie yesterday I was so sorry to have missed you guys!

See, see?!?!??! I told you that you should write a book! If she tells you to write it about what you have learned about women while knitting, I should get …something! ;)
Can’t wait to see the kilt hose! Of course, after that you may have to learn to weave so that you can make a plaid.
