Houston, we have shift-off!!!

Success!

Anyone who’s perused my blog knows I’m not one for color work. I dig cables, and I almost always work off a pattern (excepting hats). So, as a color novice, I’m very happy that the Shifty Socks are beginning to look exactly as I envisioned.

They’re going to be black through the heel and then there’s going to be a reverse color change from black to red up the leg. Hm… once I get them done I’m going to have to get some clear shoes to show off the full color effect.

It reminds me of Windows 3.1. ;)

Seriously… consider it. Could be hawt ;~)

And I actually found some shoes I think I need while searching for this photo again… I don’t know if that’s a good sign :~O

They remind me of how rollercoaster cars are painted…

That blue is workin’! I dig. Hey, are you using Magic Loop? Kim just taught me how to do it last week and I think it’s the cat’s pajamas.

I find myself unreasonably, impossibly excited by the prospect of these socks and projects related to them.
This likely means that I have been working too much. Proceed.

Those are going to be mega-groovy, my friend. I can’t wait to see them done.

I’m diggin’ those stripes. Can’t wait to see them further along.

Totally delurking here to ask if that is a Fibonacci sequence you are using. I really like how the sock is turning out.

I’m lovin’ those socks! You definitely need clear shoes, or at least Birkenstocks!
Here’s a link to the clear clogs:

Unfortunately, the clear boots have been discontinued.

Nice socks! Very vivid, and I’m looking forward to seeing the rest of them.

I am deeply, deeply distressed now. I love you. I love the socks. But clear clogs and a kilt…sweets, that is not a good look. That look does not say, “Hey ladies, come and get me!” so much as it says, “Laundry day.”

Again, I do love the socks.
