Memorial

Time to get ready to go.
I dropped off my car this morning to get the AC fixed, and they told me a few hours later that it’ll be $800 to repair the system and it would take until 5:00 PM. Unfortunately, while I have got the money right now, I haven’t got the time, so my sister’s going to be treated to a rather hot car ride up to Kerrville this afternoon.

I’m going to pick her up at the airport and then we’re going to Kerrville, where my mom’s side of the family will be gathered to scatter my grandmother’s ashes on the Guadalupe river. At some point, my mom’s going to return the Candle Flame Shawl I made for her a few years ago. I’m going to fold it up and put it next to her father’s burial flag in my cedar chest, and when I find the right person I’ll pass it on again.

Goodbye, grandma. I love you.
