I like your choice of braided cable. I'm working on something similar... it's Avast, from Knitty http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEfall06/PATTavast.html
This is in wool of the andes chocolate for my cousin, who lives in Atlanta. It'll be a substitute for a coat for him there!

Hi!
The first rule of a good computer engineer is "analysis before coding". I think it's the same with sweaters!
Best Regards!

I have that same problem - machine knit sweater at work *gasp!* a sweater from a *whisper* STORE. Partly because a) I leave it at work and don't care if it disappears and b) because I'm too bored to knit a plain coloured sweater (black at the moment). The thing I'm most ashamed of though is that I tend to WEAR my machine knit *gasp* store bought sweaters rather than my handknit sweaters. Though this may be due to the fact that my completed handknit sweaters are all rather....heavy. As in worsted weight 100% wool (or bulky 80/20 acrylic/wool) and I would be likely to die of heat exhaustion in January wearing them inside the office.... oh well. I'll take your sweater knitting as inspiration! I'll try to knit my very own office sweater before the winter is through!

How's life otherwise? I miss the kilt. *pout*
