I hope you are feeling better. My husband just came down with the vomit-plague. Blech.
So far this winter, everyone around me is getting sick, but I am not (knocks wood). I hope to all that's holy that this trend continues. The vest is looking lovely and it appears as though the end is nigh.
Go lookit my blog - I finished the Worsted Stocking Knaves.

Stitch holders, I always use yarn. I have some fingering weight in a brilliant chartreuse that works great. Never confuse it with the work at hand.
My personal philosophy is that sugar is a source of many problems, and that so many people get sick this time of year because of all the desserts. It's been demonstrated to suppress your immune system, so I'd cut out the ginger ale if you're indulging. Everyone in my office is sick as a dog... but me. And I've had no sugar or corn syrup. None. Zero. Check out the book Sugar Blues sometime.

Stitch holders? I would just use scrap yarn - and if that is not available, you have a bigger problem than contagion on your hands!

Hope you feel better soon.

What Jo said -- you telling us there's no yarn in that house? Better than stitch holders (more flexible) and always plenty to be had. Thread it through and onward! (Impatient to see the rest of the sweater.)

Sorry you are not feeling well. You know it is said whatever you are doing at midnight New Year's is what you will be doing for the rest of the year. I hope that is not true in your case--unless you made it out of bed and to a New Year's Eve party. Good resolution-Ladies, if you have not had the pleasure of seeing the Beloved Kilted One in biker shorts. Well....let's just say, he looks good coming and going! I hope the "get my butt on the bike once a week" will have the target day as Sat.! See you at the YB!
Happy New Year and a healthier one at that!

Being a geek, would you have some wire lying around? or some extra cable to harvest? Useful in times like these if you snip off the ends...

I sympathize with the sickies. I have a wicked sinus infection that started Saturday and is still kicking my butt today. Makes for a lousy New Year's Eve, to be sure. Hot toddy and bed for you buster. Feel better and Happy New Year!
