Fuzzy cuteness and fuzzy footness
I went back out to my mom’s place this weekend to do some more computer work. Her new workstation is 95% done – the onboard sound card is the only thing I couldn’t get working, so I need to pick up a cheap PCI sound card and install it next weekend.
Installing the software she needed and trying to get the damn onboard sound to work involved mostly sitting there waiting for the computer to reboot. It is a Windows machine, after all.
So I took the opportunity to continue work on the second Toirneach Kilt Ho.
I’m into the calf decrease already, so this sucker should be done in a couple of days.
This morning, mom made sausage and pancakes and then she and I took the indefatigable Beau for a walk. On the way down the driveway, Beau pounced on his outdoor-dwelling buddy Ninja and proceeded to nom the living daylights out of him.
It’s one of the weirdest animal relationships I’ve seen: Beau really wants to pick up the cats by their heads. The cats will meow and complain, but they never so much as bare their claws at him. It’s adorably bizarre.
No actual cats were harmed in the writing of this blog post, although one was rendered somewhat soggy.

That is one mellow cat.

Cats really will put up with all sorts of stuff, if they like the creature doing whatever it is to them. Well, some cats….
I saw a guy wearing a kilt at the State Fair last week, but then I heard bagpipes and realized that this was probably a ’special occasion’ kilt, not an everyday one.

My sister’s dog used to do that to my cat all the time when we shared an apartment. I used to try to stop the dog from doing it because the cat would (what I thought) complain. One day I saw the cat start the game… I can’t explain it.

Funny kitty.

That is very unusual. But far more pleasant than the typical cat/dog fighting!
Umm…is that actually a kilt “ho”? Seems like a rude thing to call a perfectly innocent looking bit of knitwear!

You didn’t mention that his two brothers seem to relish the same kind of attention! Thanks for all your hard work this weekend. Your new socks are going to be sensational. xxoo

Too darn cute. Java the Pup likes the kittehs too, but she doesn’t nom them.
