BOO!!!
Heh heh heh.
While I was at my mom’s this weekend knitting, this svelte lass was out back weaving. (I *think* she’s a lass – the conversation was kind of one-sided. After I confessed that I didn’t have any juicy flies, she didn’t seem interested in talking.)
I made good progress on Versatility over the weekend. Photos soon.

I know spiders are supposed to be good for the environment and all that, but I would have had to whack her with rolled-up newspaper!

I don’t know if she was as metallic in person as she photographed, but really with that much bling I think female is a good guess.

Those spiders are wild. We called them zipper spiders because of that funky little white zipper they add to all their webs. UHHHHH and those things can get ginormous.

Cool! Great spider!

Wow! That’s beautiful! The ones around here are just big and brown. I keep trying to charge rent, but they don’t pay up. So I toss them outside. I’d be less creeped out if they didn’t fill the entire width of the glass I use to catch them. The other day one knocked over the cup while I was searching for the card to slip underneath. *shudder*

Crazy Texas spiders. I should look him/her up in my Texas spider handbook. Seven months living there–I bought the important literature!

Most spiders – and all who spin webs – are definitely female.
Please don’t ever give me reason to spout more spider facts…please… *shudder*

What a hussy! Check out those black stockings!
(for the record, I hate spiders, but seem to have this gross, unreasonable fascination with them too)
