They have trees here

They had trees in Texas too, don’t get me wrong – just not like they have up here in the Pacific Northwest. The trees here are HUGE. And they are green! All the time! And there are mushrooms!

I spent most of my childhood wishing I could see trees like this. Being able to just go for a walk and find them is wonderful.

    Yes, I spend the entire 23 years I lived in Texas trying to convince the natives that what they consider “big trees” weren’t big at all!

    I think “trees” is an overly optimistic use of the term for what we have in Texas! I envy you your fairy-forest giants!

    Considering the harsh temps here in the summer, I think we should feel fortunate we have some type of foliage that resembles regular trees in other places! I know that I like to park under trees, when available, in parking lots!
